there is nuance to the company profit story. profit margins are at recent highs not just nominal profits. companies on earnings calls were pushing price over volume saying they had pricing power. this was supported by gov hand outs to the consumer. if inflation persists without gov handouts, expect company profit margins to go lower as they lose their pricing power. wages lag CPI so expect wage increases to further compress profit margins.

Fellas, I enjoyed the discussion of the Coldcard pen-testing in RHR270. I love the coldcard mk4 and have a preorder in for the Q1. Agree that the stateless devices may not make a ton of sense for a wallet that you’re using for frequent outgoing transactions daily. However, for long-term (ie years, decades) HODL on multisig, I think stateless is perfect as you keep everything analog, and don’t need to worry about future zero-day vulnerabilities, firmware upgrades, device failures, etc—-just pure BIP39. Have you considered having @seedsigner on one of your pods to talk about stateful vs stateless signing devices? It would be cool to hear his perspective.
