On Mike’s take on Objective C flowing. I have the same feeling about Delphi (pascal). it is just clean, binaries are small and no reliance on .net framework. The speed and ease I can throw a quick app in Delphi together is awesome. Yes, .net wraps everything and makes it easier for newer devs, but isn’t it making some devs more lazy?? Re: boosts for OSS. I hear you chris, but I don't think it's a technology problem, but a people problem. I feel for the guy, but if I'm using core-os at work, I'd want my company to donate, not me. And I don't see that happening.I donate to software I use in my personal life, but not libraries so much. I'm curious what you had in mind for boost-like technology for OSS. Just a lightning addr in the readme? For libraries, a fork of gitea where you could put a sat bounty on an issue would be cool.

Listening to the sad broke coder story, isn't this a self-inflicted wound from the very early days of open source? A huge portion of the community thinks they are entitled to darn near everything for free from the very beginning. Poor elementary had tried to change this, and it's like beating against a stone wall for them as well. The whole free-as-in-beer thing ruined it for everyone and made a bunch of entitled babies. If I was said developer, I would be of the mind to just pull my code from github, or relicenese it. The whole story just made me bitter.

On Azure everything is a "resource" that seems to extend a base class with generic/common properties. The issue I have with it is that finding which resource connects with what is difficult (like finding which resource has a specific IP). It's unintuitive. But I can see them integrating Lambda into Azure to give users the ability to ask things like "give me all objects that connect with this one and show all the details in a nice chart". But ultimately it would still be Azure and MS.

I was trying to jump into Sat streaming to support my favorite podcasts. But to my suprise, if you want to start with the lowest settings of 10 sats per minute you pay extra 6 sats per minute in fees. So 40% of the money spent goes to FountainFM, that's way to much... To mitigate it podcast could minimize the split, as for every split it geneate extra 1 sat of fee. So with the minimum split it could drop from 6 to 3 sats of fees per minute, that would drop fees down to 23%. 1/2

happy 500! wohoo!. In all honesty I dont like it either, but if someone is foinf to own Open ai, microsoft is the “lesser evil” vs amazon, facebook, google. i would prefer having the core economy on pop’s shops, but we aint going back to that :( is all about the big huge companies, sadly

First boost! Love the show, glad the trombones were still in the intro so I could maintain that imagery of you two playing. I have to wonder if the show title contributed to the plane grounding event (pilots need their Coder Radio fix before takeoff). Keep up the good work, and happy 500th episode (although a bit late). - ddsmit
