A little short but il be doing another in the future. stack are doing a great job.

EPISODE
Paynym for bitcoin users with iPhone, open source code and more with Stack Wallet.
In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking to Diego from Stack Wallet. Stack Wallet Duo is an open-source wallet supporting Bitcoin and Monero, the design and user flow is really simple and users reap the benefits of security, power, and stability that only a fully open-source codebase can offer. Stack is not partially open. Not mostly open. Completely open. I wanted to speak to Diego because SW are the first to implement Paynyms on IOS devices, this has meant half of users don’t have access to this incredible feature that other great projects like sparrow wallet and samourai wallet have been offering users for years. There is also talk of Stack allowing its users to use whirlpool soon, we touch on this during the episode and why Apple make this particularly difficult to do using Tor. Stack Wallet is non-custodial meaning they never touch your money and use great privacy defaults to keep users safe. After playing around with the wallet ive been very impressed. I set up a new wallet and paynym in a couple of minutes and the user experience was great. If you enjoyed the episode, please let us know by liking and/or subscribing to the podcast. Do it now please you lazy fuck. If you would like to support the show you can use the paynym I set up on stack or my paynym on samourai wallet. EPISODE
Own, control and understand bitcoin with sparrow wallet - Craig Raw
Own, control and understand bitcoin with sparrow wallet. In todays episode I spoke to Craig Raw the sole developer and maintainer of Sparrow wallet.Sparrow is a Bitcoin wallet for those who value financial self sovereignty. Sparrow’s emphasis is on security, privacy and usability. Sparrow does not hide information from you - on the contrary it attempts to provide as much detail as possible about your transactions and UTXOs, but in a way that is manageable and usable. Craigs hope is that sparrow is as much a tool for education as it is a tool for interacting with the bitcoin network. Ive found this wallet really usable while still having all of the features you would expect from a modern Bitcoin wallet. Full support for single sig and multisig wallets on common script types A range of connection options: Public servers, Bitcoin Core and private Electrum servers Standards based including full PSBT support Support for all common hardware wallets in USB and airgapped modes Full coin and fee control with comprehensive coin selection Labeling of all transactions, inputs and outputs Lightweight and multi platform Send and receive to PayNyms, both directly (BIP47) and collaboratively Built in Tor Testnet, regtest and signet support Sparrow is unique in that it contains a fully featured transaction editor that also functions as a blockchain explorer. This feature not only allows editing of all of a transaction’s fields, also easy inspection of the transaction bytes before broadcasting. I asked Craig about some of the features in the new release v1.7.2 and we went into detail on unique visual fingerprints for a wallets now being displayed in the Settings tab and passphrase entry dialog. This makes it easy for more visual people like myself to quickly recognise colours and shapes rather than a string of letters and numbers. We also discussed BIP329 which defines a standard for importing and exporting wallet labels. I was happy to see Craig pushing this forward as its an issue I'm currently experiencing myself and I don’t think I'm alone. As other wallets implement this standard, it will become easier to migrate between different wallet implementations using seeds, output descriptors and label exports. It was a pleasure speaking to Craig and I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed recording. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out and ask me. EPISODE
Privacy improvements for bitcoin with @Samouraiwallet
I caught up with Samourai to discus some of the recent wallet updates. We spoke about stealth mode coming back, allowing users to hide the app within another non bitcoin related application like a calculator or VPN and how this can help protect users from potential theft. Samourai went into detail about plans to further decentralise whirlpool and how this will help protect the team as well as increasing the anonymity set of users. We touched on Lincoinpool adding paynym payouts for miners and why we should see more bip47 adoption in the mining scene. With all that has gone on with the recent arrest of the tornado cash developer I am very happy to see these moves being made. It seems we might soon have more clients coming online to join sparrow wallet and samourai wallet, with recent developments from the Straylight team announcing their new Whirlpool Client written in Rust and compatible with BDK based wallets. As always it was a pleasure speaking with Samourai and its great to have a project that refuses to comply and continues to make bitcoin privacy more accessible to users. twitter - @Samouraiwallet twitter - @MaxBitbuybit twitter - @bitbuybitpod Website - https://ungovernablemisfits.com As always please feel free to reach out and ask me any questions.
