1. Deposit with Bank Card
From the Wallet page, press Fund Wallet then choose Deposit with Bank Card to be taken out to our payment processing partner, Moonpay. You will be asked to provide some personal information along with your payment details to complete your purchase.
Fees:Choosing this option will incur a processing fee of 4.5% with a minimum amount of $3.99. This fee is included in the total amount you are paying and will be shown on screen before you confirm your purchase.
Limits: The minimum top up amount set by Moonpay is $30.
Your receipt will be issued after two confirmations on the Bitcoin network. This means it can take approx. 20 minutes before your sats are credited to your Fountain wallet. Once your transaction has two confirmations, its status will change from pending to confirmed in your wallet. You will be able to track your transaction in a block explorer through a link that will be sent to you by Moonpay.
2. Deposit with Lightning
From the Wallet page, press Fund Wallet then choose Deposit with Lightning. Select the satoshi amount you'd like to top up to generate an invoice and QR code which you can then scan and pay from another lightning wallet.
Fees:Low network fees apply, which will be shown in the wallet you send from.
Limits: Using the buttons in your wallet, you can choose between a minimum top up amount of 5,000 sats and a maximum of 200,000 sats.
3. Pay your Fountain Lightning Address
Each user has a Lightning Address associated with their Fountain wallet. All you need is a lightning enabled bitcoin wallet and you can send funds directly to your Fountain Lightning Address in the same way you would send to a regular bitcoin address. You will find your Fountain Lightning Address on the top left on your wallet page.
Your Lightning Address is based on your Fountain user name. Should you ever change your user name, your Lightning Address will also change.
